About this Event

The North Sydney Innovation Network is proud to present the opportunity to hear from a panel of extremely talented and successful female founders on their experiences in the world of entrepreneurship and startups!

The panel will include three incredibly passionate female founders that will share more about what it's like as a female entrepreneur, moderated by an experienced moderator. The event will touch on the challenges that these women have faced in their respective startup journeys, their top tips for making it work, and finally, answer all of your burning questions.

We aim to bring together those in the community passionate about inspiring more women to engage in the entrepreneurial journey so join us in making this a reality!

Expert Interviewer | Panel Moderator | Radio Host

Alexi Boyd is a radio host, podcaster, panel moderator and workshop facilitator. She’s a fierce advocate for small business across the globe. In 2019 she was awarded Practice Ignition’s Top 50 Women in Accounting.

Her flagship weekly radio program, Small Biz Matters, has been on air since May 2014. In that time Alexi has met and interviewed over 130 small business experts and industry leaders in fields ranging from finance, business growth to mental health & technology.

Alexi doesn’t just talk small business, she lives it! As a fully qualified BAS Agent, Alexi runs her own bookkeeping practice. She is passionate about helping her clients control their own destinies.

Locally she is involved in her community through the Hornsby Chamber of Commerce collaborating with Hornsby council, environmental & education volunteering and hosts her own weekly radio show; Small Biz Matters with Alexi Boyd on Triple H 100.1FM; Hornsby’s Local Community Radio.

Jenna is a high energy, motivated and passionate startup founder with a clear vision and high capacity to execute on it. After realising that they couldn’t find a service to fit their needs, Jenna and Mat, the founders of Home Care Heroes, started the business in 2015 to help alleviate the pressure of caring for their parents when they were busy at work.

Entrepreneur in Residence at UTS

Noga is an entrepreneur, advisor and leader, passionate about disruptive business models and fostering entrepreneurial capacity. She co-founded startup UrbanYou, a platform to book trusted, pre-screened household services on-demand, after noticing that her busy corporate colleagues never had enough time to get things done around the house. UrbanYou was successfully acquired by Oneflare in 2018. Noga has now exited the business but continues with the Oneflare board.

Angela is a business owner, entrepreneur and lawyer based in Sydney, currently focusing on projects in real estate, social enterprise, education, startups and technology. She returned to Australia in 2014 after ten years working and living throughout East Asia (Hong Kong, Taiwan, China) and the US as a corporate executive, lawyer and business advisor.
