Female Founders: Grants, Attracting Investment & Business Growth - Emerald
Event Information
About this Event
The Female Founders Impact Program invites you to join us for a 2-hour workshop exploring Grants, Pitching for Investment and achieving your business goals.
Bronwyn Reid from Small Company, Big Business, will share with you insights from her book Small Company, Big Business, a book focused on getting your small business ready to do business with big business. Drawing from her entrepreneurial journey, Bronwyn will also share her knowledge and experience on how to survive the booms and busts that come with every business – particularly so in regional areas where commodity prices and natural disasters are such a part of our environment. With her passion for remote, regional, and rural locations, Bronwyn’s advice will be focussed on topics and issues relevant to businesses in Emerald and surrounding areas.
Leanne Wyvill, a Senior Associate with Impact Innovation Group, will share with you her experience with grant writing and assessment – like “Where do applications go wrong? Is a grant really worth it? Why should you apply like you don’t need the money?” Leanne will also discuss red flags for assessors and investors and discuss the data you may need that is hiding in plain sight.
Note: Morning tea and refreshments will be available at this event. To assist Event Organisers, please advise us as soon as possible if you are unable to attend so we can inform the venue and ensure COVID Safe protocols are met.
