Event description

Description

When practice is informed by critical reflection, educators consider, question, analyse and re-evaluate planning and decision-making for that standard. This supports a culture of ongoing self-assessment that helps identify continuous improvement and improved outcomes for children, families and educators.

This twilight session is the first of three planned for 2018, designed for teams of educators from across the Felixstow 1 Portfolio to collaboratively unpack the three excellence themes in the revised National Quality Standards. The first session will focus on critical reflection and what it looks like in practice.

As the new themes are focussed on the why and the how of what we do, these sessions will be supported by exemplars of practice from leaders within the Felixstow 1 portfolio. Our first session will be supported by Margie Colton, Director of Bertram Hawker Kindergarten, which currently holds an rating of 'Excellent' by ACECQA.
