More about Hopetoun...
Hopetoun - a great place to live, work, play and do business
New opportunities associated with the development of the Wimmera Mallee Pipeline will also enable Hopetoun to market itself as a prime location for beef feedlotting, intensive lamb finishing and the poultry and pig industries.
There are approximately 200 farmers in this region growing such key crops as Wheat, Barley, Oats, Canola, Lentils, Peas, Chick Peas and Lupins.
After hours, Hopetoun is a community of fun loving, giving, sharing people who have entwined their passion for life into sport and activities that strengthen the social unity of this town. There is a wide diversity of skills and attributes which drive an equal number of interest groups. Loyalty to the town along with determination is obvious in maintaining an interesting and viable quality of life in a rural remote setting in North West Victoria.
Hopetoun's proximity to Wyperfeld, Hattah-Kulkyne and Murray Sunset National Parks makes it an ideal place from which to explore the best of what these great Mallee National Parks have to offer. Hopetoun truly is the Gateway to the Mallee Parks.
