This month, we have the pleasure of having Member for Unley South Australia, and the Minister for Innovation and Skills, the Honorable David Pisoni MP.
As the Minister for Innovation and Skills, Hon David Pisoni works towards the benefit of the broader South Australian community, with a focus on building skills, creating new jobs, developing emerging industries and encouraging an entrepreneurial culture.
Recognising the importance of small businesses to the South Australian economy, and the difficulties many businesses have suffered at the hands of COVID, the Minister’s presentation will highlight the availability of support for small business, including:
• Training and skills initiatives and opportunities for business
• Budget initiatives;
• Regional workforce initiative; and
• Innovation Opportunities;
David Pisoni was elected to the South Australian Parliament as the Member for Unley in 2006. Appointed as a Minister in the Marshall Government in March 2018, David currently has responsibilities for the Innovation and Skills portfolio.
Born and educated in South Australia, David attended Salisbury High School and completed a Furnishing trades apprenticeship at TAFE SA. David became the Managing Director of his own manufacturing and retail company in Adelaide and Sydney and for over 22 years was responsible for training 20 apprentices. For more than 30 years, David has played an active role in his local community of Unley and has been a passionate advocate for many organisations, charities and businesses.
