Event description

Description

The Western Ringtail Possum (Pseudocheirus occidentalis) is only found in the South West corner of Western Australia. This Critically Endangered animal is in need of our understanding and protection. Come along and listen to presenters cover topics such as the cultural significance of the WRP, vets and their roles, growing WRP friendly gardens, the responsible pet ownership program, how possum bridges are being used, citizen science programs and how they benefit, what the regulations surrounding these precious creatures are and other fascinating facts.

Lunch is included and spaces are limited which is why bookings are essential.

Those attending will receive a peppermint tree (agonis flexuosa) seedling, have the chance to make a simple possum box for their urban gardens and have the opportunity to purchase appropriate seedlings for their local Western Ringtail Possums.
