Sun. 20 August 2017, 11:00 am – 3:00 pm ACST
Fauna Rescue of South Australia Inc. also welcomes the public and prospective members to attend our workshops.
Our venues have limited seating so you must book a place if you are attending.
We ask you to bring:
- a $2 donation for each member attending
- a $25 donation for each non-member attending
- a plate of food for a shared lunch.
Tea and coffee is provided.
About our workshops
- New Members Orientation Workshops are compulsory for all new members
- Species Workshops are compulsory for all members wanting to care for that species.
The Koala Rescue workshop will cover what Fauna Rescue SA is as well as Fauna Rescue Koala Team and protocols including:
- History and interesting face about SA Koalas
- The Koala Hotline
- Rescue methods, equipment
- Eyeballing a Koala at rescue
- Leaf food.
Workshops are a good opportunity to meet other members. Our guest speakers at workshops are all volunteer who have given up their time to talk to us.
Carry baskets, Starter Packs and Fauna Rescue clothing can be purchased at most workshops (cash sales only) so please bring extra money with you.
If you have any queries before you come, please contact the main Fauna Rescue number 8289 0896, or contact Jan Holmes by email on email@example.com
Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?
No, but we do ask new and prospective members under 18 to bring a responsible adult.
What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
It is easiest to reach by car. Parking is available on site in driveway parking bays and on Nelson Street. The RSPCA request that rear parking spaces are left for RSPCA staff, and that Fauna Rescue members enter through the side door and not the front door.
You can check Adelaide Metro's Journey Planner for public transport options and times (remember public transport options are usually reduced on a Sunday).
What should I bring to the event?
Bring $2 donation for each member attending, or $25 for each non-member, and a plate of food for a shared lunch. Bring additional cash if you want to buy carry baskets, Starter Packs and Fauna Rescue clothing (cash sales only).
Where can I contact the organiser with any questions?
If you have any queries before you come, please contact the main Fauna Rescue number 8289 0896, or contact Sue Westover by email firstname.lastname@example.org
