Fatigue refers to mental or physical exhaustion that stops a person from being able to function normally. This workshop is designed to help organisations and employees work together to understand and mitigate fatigue risk. Participants can expect to gain:
An understanding of physical fatigue versus mental fatigue;
An understanding of sleep and why it is important to fatigue management;
An understanding of hours of work and roster characteristics that increase fatigue risk;
The body clock and circadian rhythms; and
Applying a risk management approach to fatigue.

Jason holds a Masters of Applied Psychology (Occupational), and has been working as a registered psychologist in Australia since 2005. He has approximately 10 years’ experience consulting to organisations in the areas of employee fitness for work with a particular focus on sleep health, fatigue risk management and mental health/wellness and is a board member of the Sleep Health Foundation of Australia.
