Description
This hands-on workshop will show you how to get your product right for the Asian market. You'll find out about common traps to avoid and leave with lots of practical tips to help you successfully engage with Asian consumers.
Angeline Achariya, CEO of the Food Innovation Centre, Monash University, and Nick Henderson, Director, China Practice at Asialink Business will help you understand how to:
- Identify the Asian market segments (focusing on how to break down the market opportunity for your business).
- Compare sales channel options in Asian markets.
- Understand considerations affecting selling to consumers in the Asian market.
- Understand how to get your product right for the right target Asian consumers including how to optimise your product and packaging and navigating the regulations along the way.
Following the workshop, Shayne Mele, Merchandise Manager with VIP.COM, will give a brief presentation and insights from the buyer's point of view and will also be available for product presentations.

Food South Australia will present our 2018 Food and Beverage Industry Briefing immediately following the Fast Track to Asia Workshop upstairs in the auditorium. Workshop participants are invited to join us to hear about Food South Australia's Industry Action Plan 2018-2021 and network with industry colleagues.
