This symposium will explore the success of countries in the Asia Pacific including South Korea, Taiwan and now China in engaging in Schumpetarian fast cycle innovation.

This CBSI Symposium examines the innovative trajectories of the economies of the Asia Pacific. Thomas Clarke is Professor of Corporate Governance at the University of Technology Sydney. He is editor (with Keun Lee) of Innovation in the Asia Pacific: From Manufacturing to the Knowledge Economy, Springer 2017, and former President of the Asia-Pacific Innovation Conference (APIC). http://ap-ic.org/information/

Keun Lee is Professor in the Department of Economics of Seoul National University, in the Republic of Korea. He is President of the International Schumpeterian Society, and author of Schumpeterian Analysis of Economic Catch-Up, Cambridge University Press, 2013. http://iss2018seoul.com/eng/index.php

Michael Lester is an independent innovation consultant with Long View Partners. Formerly he was a senior executive with the OECD, World Bank (IFC), Australian Federal Government, and NSW Government specialising in innovation and economic development.
