Event description

Description

There is no doubt that broadacre grazing industries are going though a purple patch. Strong commodity prices, favourable seasonal conditions and low interest rates have seen farm profits more than double in the past 10 years.

An increase in farm income often raises questions around how to best use surplus funds.

This seminar will take a close look at how to take advantage of today while managing for tomorrow.

  • Wool, beef and sheep meat outlook - what can we expect to see over the next 12 months? (Mark Hedley, Australian Wool Network and Angus Gidley-Baird, Rabobank)

  • Investment options - how to assess the relative merit when deciding where to invest capital e.g. farm expansion, provisioning for the future, investing in on-farm infrastructure etc. (John Francis, Holmes Sackett)

  • Farm health check - how do I tell if my business is performing well? (John Francis, Holmes Sackett)

  • Maximise profit and minimise tax - how depreciation schedules can save you $ (Tony Paton, Property Ally)

  • PLUS local producer insights from Tom McGuiness and Charlie Bell

Morning tea and lunch will be provided. If you have any specific dietary requirements, please contact Matt on 0428 271127 or email matthew.lieschke@lls.nsw.gov.au

Bookings are essential and entry is $22 (incl GST) per person. To book your ticket click on 'Attend Event'.
