Event description

Description

A series of 10 information sessions to educate and engage community members about the services provided within the family violence sector in Ovens Murray. Each session is held over breakfast time on the last wednesday of the month. This session focusses on family violence in a youth context.

NESAY works to support and act for young people in the community. They have provided youth and family welfare services since the 1970’s to address issues of adolescence, family life and youth homelessness.

NESAYs practice principals are to promote social change, problem solving in relationships and empowerment to enhance individual wellbeing. NESAY has an absolute commitment to Social Justice which is fundamental to their work. Their programs work within local communities, schools, families and with individual young people, who may be at risk of school disengagement, family breakdown, at risk of entering child protection system, family violence and be homeless or at risk of homelessness.

Young people and their families can access support and assistance from one of the many NESAY programs available.

This session is suitable for community members who wish to learn more about the services available in Ovens Murray for those experiencing or at risk of experiencing family violence.
