Family Matters: Making Family Life Easier
Supporting the Wellbeing of Parents and Children
This workshop will help you to assess your family resilience and develop some more strategies for coping with current and future challenges. It considers topics such as:
What are your family goals?
What stresses are you and your family facing?
What is resilience and how can we promote it?
How can we develop protective factors?
There will be a meal to follow the workshop
Child minding is available. Places are limited and need to be booked.

Mary Wood is a mother of three, a recently retired teacher and is currently studying a Grad Dip in Counselling. Her faith has given her a heart for families and her experience and profession have given her an understanding of the stresses that families face. While teaching at Friends' School, she ran a parent support group, and delivered this workshop each year to High School parents. She is also licensed to run 123 Magic: Emotional Coaching for parents of younger children and Engaging Adolescents. She is currently working at Southern Christian College, in a chaplaincy and educational support role.
