Families Australia will convene a forum at the Department of Social Services on 24 March 2017 on the theme of work, family and time. This is the second policy-related forum to be held at the Department of Social Services under Families Australia’s ‘Building Stronger Australian Families’ initiative. Professor Lyndall Strazdins, ANU, will discuss her newly-released research entitled Hour-glass ceilings: Work-hour thresholds gendered health inequities.
Families Australia’s ‘Building Stronger Australian Families’ forums bring together key people from government, NGO and research sectors to consider how best to advance the wellbeing of Australian families now and in the future.
The forum will run for two hours and be facilitated by Dr Brian Babington, Chief Executive Officer of Families Australia.
Professor Strazdins will build on her previous policy forum presentation and introduce attendees to the newly released research Hour-glass ceilings: Work-hour gendered health inequities.
