As a part of Fair Food Week, on Monday 17th of October the Illawarra Public Health Soceity will be hositng an exciting and informative discussion event on the topic of Food Waste at the University of Wollongong. Come along on the day to hear four key speakers discuss the key topic areas of combatting food waste in the modern age!
- Hidden Harvest Speaker: Food Waste, and what can be done to reduce it at the household level
- Illawarra Food Hub Speaker: How to supply large amounts of surplus food to people in need
- Council Speaker: What the council is doing regarding alternatives to sending food to landfill?
- Council Speaker: Landfill operations and future plans regarding household waste collection
Question time will be allowed at the end so that audience members can engage with the speakers about Food Waste.
