Event description

Description

Create beautiful customised floor rugs from repurposed quilt covers, sheets and fabric scraps, complimenting a repurposing, sustainable lifestyle.

This beginners class will teach you the technique you need to start this addictive and fulfilling hobby, once you’ve completed this workshop you’ll be able to make rugs, stash baskets and bags from what would otherwise be landfill.

Using a knotting technique originally from Viking times and carried into the present day by the Amish, called ‘toothbrush weaving’, this skill will will give you the confidence to create stunning scrap fabric pieces that can be used to decorate your home in a bespoke way.

All materials are provided and all steps are covered giving you the complete process. Workshops are held in a beautiful renovated 1950’s beach cottage a short walk from the coast, near to cafes for lunch you could bring a friend and make it a day.

Small classes to ensure enough support. Bookings essential as workshops book out.
