We will kick off with some stunning footage from none other than Sir David Attenborough's Blue Planet II.

Followed by a chat with plastic practitioners & ocean health experts, discussing tangible solutions that if scaled at pace can enhance the future health of our planet.

We aim to explore this topic in a constructive, entertaining way that enlightens and offers hope for a brighter future. We also invite Q&A from the audience

To date, panellists include:

  • Katinka Day: WWF Australia's No Plastic in Nature Policy Manager. Prior experience as a Campaign Manager with World Animal Protection Canada, CHOICE's Campaign and Policy Team, and the Australian Trade and Investment Commission.
  • Meredith Epp: currently working with businesses to reach the Australian Government's target to achieve 100% recyclable, reusable or compostable packaging in Australia by 2025 as the Industry Engagement Manager at the Australian Packaging Covenant Organisation (APCO). Formerly Marketing & Communications Manager at the Marine Stewardship Council. Meredith is passionate about the circular economy, clean oceans and innovation.
  • Alexandra McDonald: career dedicated to leveraging the power of the private sector to drive positive environmental and social change. An eXXpedition Round the World Participant; all-female sailing adventure and research mission. Divisional Head of Sustaianble Business and Communications at Unilever ANZ. Experience with Patagonia and e-waste recycling program MobileMuster.. Advisory member of the Australasian Recycling Logo Marketing Board, Food and Grocery Council Sustainable Practices Committee.
  • Claire Maloney: Founder & Director of behaviour change & communications agency, The Bravery, working uniquely to drive positive environmental and social change. Clients past & present include WWF's Earth Hour, Mobile Muster, urban greening initiative 202020Vision, Garage Sale Trail, Sydney Water, B Corporation, Kathmandu, Veolia. Claire is also the Acting Chair of not-for-profit enterprise, One Girl - working to educate a million girls.
