Description

Expression of Interest

The Central Coast/Hunter CHSP Sector Support would like to offer this course to people working within the Sector. This is a call for interested Sector participants to express their interest within this course. Dependant on numbers it would be intended that this course would be offered fee free. Training for this would occur between October and December, 2016.

Overview


This course will provide and assess you in the knowledge and skills required to identify and respond to the needs of clients who may be experiencing domestic and family violence, including responding to immediate intervention and support needs.


This unit applies to health and community service workers providing services according to established organisation procedures. These workers may not be specialised family violence workers.

In this course you will be developed to demonstrate your competence in:

    1. Adopting work practices that support interactions with those affected by domestic and family violenceIdentifying infection hazards and assessing risks

    2. Identifying client needs

    3. Responding to client needs


Entry Requirements

There are no entry requirements for this course. To complete this unit the skills in this unit must be applied in accordance with Commonwealth and State/Territory legislation, Australian/New Zealand standards and industry codes of practice.
