"Respect Sista Girls 2"

“Respect Sista Girls 2” will be starting on the 2nd of March and running for 9 weeks (2-3 hours durations) contains eight modules and is offered to Aboriginal girls and women as a leadership empowerment program. The program is also available to community as a self-awareness program and was developed by community for community.

The program allows participants to use their cultural strengths to make positive changes in their lives, empowering them to make better choices and to reconnect with their cultural identity, family, land, language, values and spiritual beliefs.

The program is divided into nine modules, which are cultural integrity; communication; reflect, connect and know self; relationships and empowerment; family; sista girls; violence, abuse and power-over; consequences to behaviour and inner circle support: outer circle networks.

"Healthy Homes, Routines and Rules"

“Routines and Rules will be run over two week on Wednesday 7th and 14th of March and is a full day workshop. "Routines and Rules" is a workshop where you’ll learn helpful information on why routines need to be part of everyday life to make for a successful study life. Creating the right routine to suit you and your family is the trick!”

In this workshop you will learn how to identify the challenges in family life; the importance of routines to help family and therefore study life run smoother; how to develop routines for areas that have specific challenges and How to establish rules for yourself, family and friends that will help provide positive outcomes for your family.

"Growing Up Healthy"

"Growing Up Healthy" will be running for 3-4 hours on a Tuesday, with starting dates and times to be confirmed.
Do you need a hand making healthy food choices or managing your weekly food budget? The Healthy Homes, Resilient Families program can help you with these things and more! There are six weekly three-hour sessions and you’ll find heaps of useful information about growing up healthy; Nutrition; Food safety and much more! The program is not just about listening as each week you will engage in practical activities to help develop your skills and practice what you’ve learned.
