Description

Many businesses looking to export out of Australia are unaware of the implications of exporting overseas without first protecting their intellectual property.

Why is it so important to first protect your IP before exporting overseas? Jacqueline Plunkett, IP Lawyer at mdp Law, will explain the importance of IP to trade and why businesses should protect their IP before going overseas in this seminar.

What you will learn:

  • An introduction of Australia’s exports performance and top five trade partners, China, Japan, Korea, United States and India

  • The importance of protecting your IP before going overseas

  • The strategies for IP protection in these jurisdictions

Jacqueline is a former Senior Trade Marks Examiner and Acting Assistant Director of IP Australia. She was responsible for advising the government and negotiating the IP components of several of Australia’s international free trade agreements, including the RCEP, one of the largest free trade agreements in the world.
