The symposium will provide a platform for developing cross-disciplinary and cross-institutional collaborative research projects to achieve ACEN funding in the area of WIL.
ACEN grant funding is provided for projects focused on a small number of research themes. In small groups, symposium attendees will develop research questions and outcomes that help form a research proposal in the area of WIL. Each group will align with one of the themes for the ACEN grant funding. ACEN grant applications are due May 2017, allowing sufficient time for symposium groups to develop full research proposals as they wish.
The research themes for the three $10,000 ACEN grants are:
- Innovative and sustainable WIL models
- Assessment practices for WIL
- Global WIL
- WIL and Technology
- WIL in STEM
- Evaluating return on WIL investment for stakeholders (Note: Projects related to this theme may focus on a particular discipline, WIL Model or Industry/community partner)
This is an ACEN WA Sponsored Event.
