Event description

Description

Explore the similarities and differences between Local Area Coordination (LAC) in Australia and in the United Kingdom. What are the common themes and underlying principles to LAC?

Join us for a conversation with Ralph Broad, who is currently leading the development of Local Area Coordination (LAC) in the United Kingdom.

Ralph is working in partnership with a number of local authority areas and community partners in the development of LAC, building stronger communities and associated opportunities for reform of the social care system.

Key points of discussion will include:

  • How does LAC work?
  • How is LAC different in Australia?
  • Key lessons from a decade of LAC

This session is an opportunity for people in the community to explore what Local Area Coordination could look like in their local area. All are welcome to attend. This is a wheelchair accessible venue.
