Description

Interested in exploring Australia's culture and history?

The Cultures and History Learning Communities are collaborating to bring you a comprehensive introduction to Australian cultural life.

From the rich and diverse cultures of Australia's Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, to the cultural innovations of Australia after European colonisation in 1788, our fantastic presenters will discuss many of the major ideas, themes and phrases that we often call a part of 'Australian' culture.

If you're visiting Australia on exchange or as an international student, or if you're just wanting to know more, this is perfect for you!

Presenters:

Professor Frank Bongiorno - Professor and Head of School, School of History, College of Arts and Social Science.

Dr Julieanne Lamond - Lecturer, School of Literature, Languages and Linguistics, College of Arts and Social Science.

Ms Aileen Marwung Walsh - PhD Candidate, School of History, College of Arts and Social Science.
Moderator: Dr Shannyn Palmer - Lecturer, School of History, College of Arts and Social Science.
