About this event
Join us for light drinks and refreshments in the Waverley Library Galleries to mark the latest exhibition, Kadoo by Natalie Bateman.
Since returning back to her mothers country on the far South Coast of NSW, Natalie Bateman has been researching her history and ancestors. Even though she grew up in La Perouse and Maroubra, Natalie describes a deep cultural and spiritual connection to the Yuin Tribe of the South Coast. This collection of paintings is about Natalie’s connection to her grandmother’s country and understanding the importance of returning to this place. They are about Natalie’s connection to country and are a way to honor her Nan, Murial Stewart as a remarkable proud, strong Aboriginal Woman.
Please note, this is a COVID safe event social distancing is encouraged. If you feel unwell on the day please refrain from attending.
