Event description

Description

Surf Coast Shire Council will this year host Exercise Kansas - the annual Emergency Relief Centre exercise for the Otway District Relief and Recovery Collaboration. This day will provide an opportunity for staff and agencies to build skills and put into practice their training and experiences in a safe space.

The day will kick off with quick session run by your council to explore activation of an ERC and what it would look like for you. You will then head to the venue in Winchelsea to take part in a full day of role playing and activities exploring how an ERC functions and how we can best help support our communities during an emergency event.

Come prepared for an interactive learning day in neat comfortable attire. Further details will be provided closer to the date.

Don't forget to click on the "Add to calendar" button when you register.

This is an annual emergency preparedness exercise primarily for local government and emergency service agencies. Community members are welcome to participate as role players, if you are interested, please contact us at kwilliams@surfcoast.vic.gov.au.
