Event description

Description

Resilience (n): the ability to adapt well in the face of adversity, trauma, tragedy, threats, and from sources of stress such as work pressures, health, family or relationship problems. Resilience is emerging as a necessary skill for leaders turning problems into opportunity.

Have you ever had to really fight the urge to give up? Have you had to really push yourself to get to an outcome? Or conversely, have you become so obsessed by getting to a goal almost nothing will stand in your way? Perhaps you're like many others... in a rut or working long hard hours.

In today’s workplace, the ability to cope with change and deal with complex and mutiple challenges is an essential trait of any Executive leader. Remaining positive in the face of adversity, however, can be tough. Fear of failure, reactive behaviour and fear of rejection are just some of the many hurdles that stop us from being resilient in tough times.

Why Attend this Seminar

Executives are under pressure. They are expected to perform outstandingly during challenging, demanding and changing situations. Executive roles are no longer exclusively based on proven expertise and seniority but equally might be held by younger, less experienced people who are leading start-ups, entrepreneurial enterprises, and family businesses. Not all, sadly, are actively engaged in their own health and wellbeing or participate in strategies that promote both mental and physical wellbeing.

So come along if you (or a friend of a friend of yours) experiences any of the following:

  1. So many things to do....but where do I start

  2. I'm doing it alone and everyone is just as busy as me

  3. I've lost the confidence to recognise my own abilities

  4. Things just aren't going to plan

  5. I'm not able to `switch off' and create a healthy balance

  6. It's often easier to do it myself rather than rely on others to get it done properly

  7. Sometimes there are so many decisions to make it seems easier to just go with the flow
