EXAMINING WORD OF FAITH TEACHINGS COURSE | with Phil Mason

This five-part series by Phil Mason is an in-depth examination of the Word of Faith teaching. Phil explores the origins of this unique teaching and the scope of its influence in the Pentecostal world. Word of Faith (or hyper-faith) teachers focus upon the ‘faith formula’ that moves God to answer our prayers. Confession of the Word of God is front and center in this approach to getting results from God. Abuses of this teaching have created their own set of problems in Christian praxis, resulting in countless casualties who have suffered from falling short of appropriating victory through the ‘faith formula.’

The purpose of this series is to offer a thoughtful analysis of the limits of positive confession and the formulaic approach to declaring the truth of Scripture versus the cultivation of a deeper relational intimacy with our Father. The course offers healing to those who have become casualties of this gnostic approach to prayer and ministry.
