Evolution Of Organic brings us the epic story of those who decided that a capitalist agricultural system, with its insatiable appetite for natural resources and environmental destruction, needed to be turned into something more environmentally sustainable and humane. Its the tale of a group of people who became acutely aware that the health of humans, animals, soil and plants are inextricably linked.

A motley crew of back-to-the-landers, spiritual seekers and farmers’ sons and daughters reject chemical farming and set out to explore organic alternatives. What evolves is a heartfelt journey and a cultural transformation in the way we grow and eat food. Frances McDormand narrates a film that's funny and engaging as well as informative and illuminating. Evolution Of Organic is a collective portrait, full of great stories and colourful and passionate characters.

Evolution Of Organic captures the arc of the organic movement, from its alternative origins to mainstream triumph. Not just a historical piece, the film also explores the next generation who are promoting organic and carbon farming as a solution to climate change, and what lies beyond - from soil microbiology as the new frontier, to visions of a regenerative agriculture that restores the ecosphere.. and the human spirit.

With its fascinating birth and power for invoking positive effects, the potential of the organic agriculture movement to regenerate the world we live in can no longer be ignored.

Proudly joint sponsored by Almar Organics, Border Just Foods and Olive Health Foods.

All proceeds will support the work of the Sustainable Activity Centre Cohort Inc, a not-for-profit organisation promoting sustainability at the local level.
