Description

In the third lecture in this series, Everything you wanted to know about Wi-Fi, but were too afraid to ask…, Executive Dean in the School of Science, Professor Andrew Woodward, will examine the impact of Wi-Fi on society.

Wi-Fi has become ubiquitous; we now use it when we travel, to do our banking, to pay bills and to update the world as to what the cat did today. But how does it work? Where did it come from and why does it sometimes not work?

In this talk, Professor Woodward will examine these questions and demonstrate some of the numerous security issues and vulnerabilities inherent in Wi-Fi. He will provide an insight into how to protect yourself when using Wi-Fi.
