Everyday Mindfulness
Event Information
About this Event
Summary
Do you often feel overwhelmed, stressed, foggy-headed, on autpilot or quick to fly off the handle? Do you struggle to sleep at night or focus with a racing, busy mind? Do you struggle to juggle life’s competing demands and find time and energy for yourself? For relaxation, health and well-being?
Mindfulness is way we can manage our thoughts, emotions, activities and relationships and be more present and at peace with things as we go about our busy, daily lives.
Mindfulness is a simple practice we can apply to manage life more skilfully, with more awareness and acceptance. It is a way of living that is available to everyone, and not just another item to add to your to-do list.
This half-day workshop is for everyone: people new to mindfulness, anyone struggling to integrate mindful practices into everyday life and, anyone looking to enjoy the benefits of guided group meditation.
Research shows that as little as 5 minutes of mindful practice a day can make a significant difference to mental and emotional health and wellbeing, altering the way we see, feel and respond to the world.
Rather than snapping at your kids, raging in traffic or being so distracted you don't remember doing something you did, it is possible to be more present, aware and calm, to not overreact or be as bothered by things but instead be more able to respond to life as you choose.
Aims
This workshop aims to share simple, practical techniques to be more present, clear and calm, every day, and provide a favourable space to enjoy the benefits of group meditation.
