Event description

Description

PLEASE NOTE THIS EVENT HAS BEEN POSTPONED TO A DATE TO BE CONFIRMED. After the outrageous success of last year's Great Debate, IABC Western Australia is proud to bring back this winner with this year's debate topic, Stick to your knitting: Business leaders should avoid public commentary on social issues. After a sell out crowd at our inaugural Great Debate last year, we are preparing for a night of networking, needling and heckling as we take a deep dive into the recently released Edelman Trust Barometer.

From climate change to gay marriage, it seems activism around social issues has become normalised.

But should our leaders be chiming in on these issues or should they stick to what they know?

Some of Perth’s finest business leaders are sharpening their knitting needles to fight it out!

Hosted by Andrea Burns and sponsored by Cannings Purple, tickets are now on sale. We're thrilled to announce our team captains are Annette Ellis and Willie Rowe - we'll announce other speakers in coming weeks.

Networking drinks commence at 5.30pm and will continue after the debate.

Ticket price includes finger food as well as beer, wine and soft drink.
