Description

Evenings with David Roche
Thursday 22 November
5 - 8PM

Stop by The David Roche Foundation in North Adelaide from 5pm on 22 November for our second special twilight opening as part of the Edo Style: Art of Japan exhibition.

See the beautiful display of Japanese art, take in a traditional Japanese sword demonstration and a short talk about the exhibition, and relax on the lawns with Japanese inspired food and drinks.

The Hokushin Shinoh Ryu Ohgo-Kai Iai-do will demonstrate the sword practices of Iai-do passed down through generations of Japanese swordsmen at 6pm in the forecourt.

At 7pm, hear Jennifer Harris, speak in the gallery space on 'The Art of Dissent in the Edo period', and show how art was used as a means to express and foment dissent during the Edo period.

Come by on the way home from work or before heading out to dinner.

Doors open 5pm – 8pm. Tickets are available at the door for $10 or $8 concession. Children under 5 free. Food and drinks will be available for purchase.
