Event description

Description

The Year 11 Drama class are proud to present their version of Ionesco's absurdist play 'Rhinoceros'. This seminal work explores the phenomenon of pack mentality, specifically the way in which Nazism spread through Germany and its surrounding countries before and during WWII. While this is on the one hand a historical work, humans are still guilty of joining the pack even if it is contrary to their personal beliefs and values. This absurdist work urges us to stay true to ourselves and our convictions, even if the people around us are metamorphosing into extremely large, horned, aggressive, megafauna! Brrrrr!
