Mike Halligan – General Manager @ The 5TH

Mike is General Manager at the 5TH, an Australian watch and lifestyle accessories brand famous for its unique business model of only selling for five days of the month. Previous to the 5TH, Mike had led brand + eCommerce strategy across ZANEROBE and Barney Cools fashion brands and founded ‘Online Store Guys’, a boutique eCommerce agency. His unique background has seen him design and build online stores for some of Australia’s most iconic lifestyle brands, finding the balance between creativity and data-driven decision making to turn much loved companies into high performing online stores.


Sali Sasi - Business Consultant and Cofounded Stylerunner

Sali Sasi is an entrepreneur, breast cancer survivor, and inspiring public speaker. She spent 10 years in recruitment before Co-founding the worlds first, globally recognised luxury activewear e-tailer,www.stylerunner.com in October 2012 along with the female content and events platform Poppy Renegade in 2015. Sali achieved #10 female Entrepreneur under 40 in 2015 and was a finalist in the Instyle Women's Business Category alongside Stylerunner Co-founder Julie Stevanja, Janine Allis of Boost Juice and Pip Marlow of Microsoft. Sali, was diagnosed with Stage II breast cancer at age 27. “Breast cancer has definitely been a hidden blessing. It has taught me that you only get one shot at this life so you need to live it by doing something you love,” says Sali. Having spent 3 years contributing to the success of Stylerunner, Sali has since moved on to start her own consulting business in coaching, mentoring and inspiring individuals and businesses to achieve success. Sali is also about to launch a new accessories brand called Frankie Peach next month.

Karen P’ng - Ecommerce Social Media Consultant

Karen P’ng is a freelance strategist and consultant specialising in social media, digital marketing and content. Having previously worked at Australia’s largest online retailer for the past 4.5 years, Karen has a strong interest towards helping startups and small businesses with limited resources grow using structure and strategy. She has worked with the likes of THE ICONIC, theright.fit, BRICKX and Trefiel. Karen holds a BA from Queensland University of Technology but believes that most of her skills and expertise came from her experiences of learning on the job and consistent upskilling through short courses.


Tech Ready is comprised of a community of experts and mentors who have "been there done that experience" and are committed to nurturing female entrepreneurs. Tech Ready hosts regular events, masterclasses and an 8-week accelerator to help non tech female founders confidently step into the tech space.

What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?

Located in leafy Lavender Bay just 6 minutes stroll from Milsons Point train station. There are also buses that terminate at Milsons Point station.

Kirribilli Club has 65 car spaces available, located on Basement Levels 1 and 2. The car spaces are available on a “first come, first served” basis and cannot be reserved. Non Members are charged at $12 per day. Keep your ticket with you, and please be sure to pay and have it validated at Reception before leaving the Club.

What can I bring into the event?

Please bring along your laptop as there is free WIFI available in the conference rooms.

Drinks and catering are provided at the event, so you'll have the opportunity to mingle with female founders within the Tech Ready Community.

What's the refund policy

Tickets are non-refundable though can be transferred to another attendee, by contacting the Tech Ready team.
