ESCALATE is an exciting new mentoring program for ACT based dance artists between the ages 15 – 25 years, presented by Ausdance ACT. 7 young dance artists with over 20 dancers have worked alongside industry professionals to develop and stage their own work for YAH.
These young people are dancing, soaring and exploring new territories and Ausdance ACT is thrilled to bring this premier season to the 2017 YAH Festival.
The Australian Dance Council – Ausdance (ACT) Inc is the peak professional body for dance in the ACT. Our services include support for independent dancers, development projects, and the promotion of dance and dance education, with special interests in the professional sector, youth and community and professional development for dance teachers in the ACT. As part of the National Ausdance Network, Ausdance ACT has a key overview of dance in the region from a national perspective.
Escalate is presented by Ausdance ACT as part of You Are Here 2017. Presented with the support of Ainslie and Gorman Arts Centres, and the ACT Government.
