ESC 1 - Introductory Erosion & Sediment Control Course (4 hrs)

Delivered over 4 hours, this course is specifically focussed at construction and maintenance staff undertaking works, either under the direction of a Foreman or Site Supervisor, or working remotely. Attendees will gain knowledge and skills to assist them with installing and maintaining various erosion, sediment and drainage control measures onsite to comply with project and legislative requirements surrounding Erosion and Sediment Control (ESC).
The content of the ESC 1 course is based on the “Best Practice Erosion and Sediment Control” document (IECA, 2008), however has been designed to provide a practical emphasis relevant to the target audience.
Attendees will see, hear and touch first hand a range of measures to minimise erosion and control soil loss from construction sites. Attendees will also recieve a printed field guide, certificate of attendance (4 PDUs) and catering (morning tea and refreshments).
This course is presented by Topo Director, Terry Clark, who holds a Certificate IV in training and assessment. Terry regularly presents ESC training to a range of audience groups (field, compliance, office based). Terry has trained over 1,500 people in QLD, NSW, VIC, NT and TAS. Terry’s wealth of experience and qualifications (RPEQ, CPESC & CPSS) provide attendees with an engaging and insightful course which is approved by the International Erosion Control Association (IECA).
