Event description

Description

This session is designed to provide information to potential University of Sydney Equity Fellowship Applicants.

The Equity Fellowships are designed to enhance staff diversity and equity. They were created in recognition of the fact that talented researchers may be prevented from achieving their research goals as a result of significant caring, disability and gender-related challenges. They contribute to a supportive environment at the University of Sydney where diversity is valued and staff are able to flourish.

The Equity Fellowships consist of three funding schemes to assist researchers with disabilities (Laffan), support those who have had a career interruption due to primary caring duties (Brown), and help female researchers at levels C and D prepare for promotions (Thompson).

Each fellowship is worth up to $60,000 over a one-year period. Relief from routine teaching and administrative responsibilities is covered. Research-only staff may also ask for technical assistance.

Comprehensive application materials and guidelines can be accessed via the University of Sydney intranet. This competition is open only to existing University of Sydney staff. External candidates need not apply.
