About this Event

Entrepreneurship & Creativity with music legend Bob Spencer

To become proficient in any pursuit, whether it be business, the arts, sport, or life in general, requires motivation, discipline and creativity. Bob Spencer has made a living out of music, and to do so in any creative pursuit requires a strong element of entrepreneurship. And entrepreneurship requires a strong element of creativity. Interestingly, almost all the people listed in Forbes top ten rich list, have degrees in the Arts. So why is creativity so important to success , and especially business and personal success - and how can we become more creative in how we think about our lives and how we do business? In this interactive webinar we hear from Australian music legend, Bob Spencer.

One of Bob’s beliefs is that every musician needs to find their own sound, and in a business sense that could equate to our USP - Unique Selling Proposition. Bob will talk about he has navigated the business of music, and how we too can tap into and use our creative side to develop a distinctive voice for our businesses. And why, as an entrepreneur, it is important to use creativity to re-invent ourselves to remain relevant in the ever-changing world of business. Have your questions ready! This is a rare opporunity to hear from someone who decided on a music career at the age of 14.

About Bob

Bob Spencer is a guitarist who was in two significant Australian rock bands in the 1970s and 1980s, Skyhooks and The Angels. Bob joined Skyhooks in 1977 and in 1986 joined The Angels. He remained with the band until 1992. In 1998, Bob’s contribution as guitarist, songwriter and vocalist with The Angels was officially recognised when he was inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame. He has also played with the Temple Gods (1992–93) and the Choirboys (1993-2004), and most recently with Rose Tattoo.

Even with multi gold and platinum records in his career, Bob Spencer is more than a legend to hordes of guitar enthusiasts. Over the years Bob has coached and mentored hundreds of musicians back to making music through the Weekend Warriors program, where he was a pioneer and on the coaching panel from 2002. He has passed his skills onto young warriors where he has shared his wealth of musical experience and knowledge.

This webinar is for everyone in business but especially those in the creative arts.

Hosted by Entrepreneurship Facilitator, Paul Miller. Entrepreneurship Facilitators are funded by the Australian Government.
