Enhancing Children's Learning Through Art (North West)
Thu. 29 June 2017, 9:30 am – 12:30 pm AEST
Children love art because it’s not only fun, it also provides them with the opportunity for authentic self-expression.
Art making is widely regarded as a significant element of children’s early years education experience. All children have the potential to explore and express their ideas through art, but are reliant on the understanding and enthusiasm of the educators who work alongside them to flourish.
This session will explore the complexity and wonder of working with young children as they develop their artistry and will encourage participants to reflect on, and perhaps re-consider their understanding of their place in relation to early years arts practice.
This session explores:
- Materials, techniques and processes
- Using art as a tool for teaching and learning
- Creating and appreciating visual aesthetics
- Exploring the role of the educator
Date: Thursday 29th June, 9.30am - 12.30pm
Cost: $99 (plus GST)
