Considering your engineering career progression or wanting to upskill with postgraduate studies? We invite you to join us for a discussion among staff, alumni and representatives from the engineering industry.
You will hear from Geotechnical Engineer Marvin Bedary. Originally from Iraq, Marvin will discuss their engineering studies and journey toward becoming a practising engineer. Learn from the experiences of RMIT academics in Sustainable Engineering Practice and Design and Innovation and Technology Management. You will also hear from a representative from the engineering industry who can answer your questions and provide valuable insights.

The conversation will be led by Adrian Orifici, Professor of Aerospace Engineering and Sara Moridpour, Associate Dean of Student Experience in Engineering.
Presenters
Professor Adrian Orifici – Professor, Aerospace Engineering
Professor Adrian Orifici is responsible for teaching and research in aerospace structures and materials and has worked extensively in international collaboration efforts in teaching and research.
Associate Professor Sara Moridpour – Associate Dean, Student Experience (Engineering)
Associate Professor Sara Moridpour is an academic from the School of Engineering. She is responsible for teaching and research in Civil and Infrastructure Engineering. She worked on developing and managing undergraduate and postgraduate engineering programs at RMIT.
Marvin Bedary – Geotechnical Engineer, GHD
Marvin Bedary is a Geotechnical Engineer at GHD. Marvin previously completed the Master of Engineering (Civil Engineering) RMIT. Experienced Geotechnical Engineer skilled in Bridge, Laboratory testing and management Skills, Research, and Rail Transport.
Charlotte Wong - PhD, Materials and Manufacturing Engineering
Charlotte Wong is a Plant Metallurgist at OZ Minerals, with 10 years’ experience in industries including oil and gas, wind energy and mining. Charlotte previously completed a PhD (Materials and Manufacturing Engineering) at RMIT.
