End of Year Celebration - Changed Venue

with Propagation Workshop, Plants to take Home, and Shared Meal

Sunday 12 December 2021

3.00 pm to 6.30 pm

at the Larsen Room, Grantham Butter Factory

6 Victor Street, Grantham, Q 4347

This is the End of Year Celebration with Workshop for Permaculture Toowoomba Inc. Everyone is welcome.

Bookings are Essential

This is a COVID-safe event so it's essential that you book so that we have contact details and know how many will be attending. We also need to know numbers attending for catering.

We will offer a wait list, so if you book and are then unable to attend, please let us know immediately so we can offer your place to someone else.

What We'll Do

We'll start at 3.00 pm with a welcome and introduction.

Please place donations on the Mega Christmas Share Table and then enjoy a Light Afternoon Tea of dips, crudités and fruit + fermented drinks.

Practical Workshop - Plant Propagation presented by Sam Rogers, Adam Gould, Vincent Parisi and Sam Haworth.

Sam, Adam, Vincent and Sam will take us through the basics of propagation in a practical hands-on workshop. We'll learn tips for propagation success and the steps to grow new plants from cuttings, rhizomes, divisions, and runners. We'll also be introduced to some wonderful plants to grow in our own gardens - some not easy to buy.

Everyone will have the opportunity to propagate several different plants to take home. This will be a great opportunity to increase your stock of plants for your own patch with a selection of productive permaculture plants that grow well in our bio-region.

We'll end the afternoon with a shared meal of baked potatoes in foil served with a choice of fresh toppings. We'll have both sweet Potatoes and White Potatoes plus Gluten Free and Vegan topping options will be available.

Member Jeanie Cuskelly will also bring her guitar and lead some singing.

Please BYO Drinks.

You'll be able to select produce from the Mega Christmas Share Table before you go home (see below for details).

Parking and Access

Parking is available on site including disabled parking. The venue is suitable for strollers, wheelchairs and walking frames if needed, and their are disabled toilets and a baby change table.
