Join us for our first EMUG Victoria Regional Meeting for 2019 with the highly anticipated topic:

Procedural Ultrasound

We will discuss the latest trends and cases, covering all levels from beginners to masters.

EMUGs events include an opportunity for you to meet other POCUS enthusiasts in a friendly and casual networking environment.

Clinical Leaders Meeting (Commences 1530)

EMUGs Victoria invites POCUS leaders and enthusiasts to join us for an inspiring and progressive meeting to collaboratively advance our hospital's ultrasound programs and that of the use of ultrasound in emergency medicine.

This meeting is a fantastic networking opportunity and a great way to learn from one another and features our journal club, open forum and discussion topic. Our discussion topic this meeting will be Procedural Ultrasound.

This meeting will be chaired by the EMUG Victoria Co-Chairs, building on developments from previous Clinical Leaders Meeting and from the collective progress of EMUGs members across Australasia.

Stay on after this meeting for our Education Sessions focussing on Procedural Ultrasound.

Who is the clinical leaders meeting for?

This session is aimed at those managing ultrasound programs and education within their department or clinicians with advanced POCUS skills/interests. FACEMs, Sonographer educators and advanced trainee's (especially those on special skills terms or with advanced ultrasound qualifications or interests) are welcome to attend. If you are unsure if you should attend, please email lukemphillips@gmail.com to discuss further.

Education Session - Procedural Ultrasound (Commences 1900)

Our education sessions feature guest speakers who are experts in their field. We will disscuss procedures in the emergency department using ultrasound guidance and allow the opportunity for networking and public forums to discuss any questions you may have.

Talks will be followed by an open forum and panel discussion where you can ask the experts any POCUS related questions.

What is the best way for me to get to/from the event?

Train: Prahran railway station is a short distance from AMREP. Walk along Greville Street.

Bus: Routes 216, 219 and 220 from the city stop directly outside the main entrance of The Alfred Hospital.

Tram: Numbers 3, 5, 6,16, 64 and 67 travel along St Kilda Road. Alight at the corner of St Kilda and Commercial Roads. Number 72 travels along Commercial Road; there is a stop directly outside the main entrance of the Alfred Hospital.

Taxi: There is a taxi rank on Commercial Road directly in front of the Burnet Tower.

Drive: Parking is available in the visitor car park at the Alfred Centre and is accessed via Centre Lane from Commercial Road. Parking is available on surrounding streets. It may be metered so make sure you check the signs.
