Empowerment in Ageing Information evening
Event Information
Description
Empowering older Australians to live the way they choose as the challenges of ageing draw closer – or worse, when an unexpected crisis occurs – is what Louise Mace from New Way To Stay is determined to do. Having experienced the pain of this first hand, Louise doesn't want others to suffer the way she and her dad did. Drawing on that personal experience, New Way To Stay is focused on offering older Australians and their families, friends and neighbours clear access to holistic and realistic solutions that can empower them to achieve their goals.
Following the success of the last event, we are again offering an impressive line-up of speakers who will educate the community on important topics related to the ageing process.
We invite those wanting to be well armed before, during and after the transition into ageing. If this sounds of interest, please join us for canapes and a glass of wine on beautiful Manly beachfront while hearing from a raft of professionals who specialise in the transition into ageing. Our Speaker Line up is as follows:
- Dr Stephen Ginsborg (keynote speaker): GP specialising in Elder Care and board member of the Council of the Ageing (COTA NSW)
- Kevin Reid: CEO, Manly Warringah Pittwater Community Aid
- Rod Laycock: Director of Meditech Staffing - Home and Disability Care
- Lorena Millett: Aged Care Specialist Financial Adviser, Osborne Yuille & Associates
- Claire Nielsen: Principal Solicitor, Family Law and Estate Planning, Shiptons & Associates
Ticket numbers are limited. Booking here to secure your seat is essential.
