Event description
‘Empowered’ is Study Melbourne’s suite of career and leadership programs to support international students to launch their careers.

About this event

Join Study Melbourne, on Friday July 30th at 11am, for a tour of Study Melbourne’s ‘Empowered’, a suite of career and leadership skills programs for international students at any stage of their student journey. The Victorian Government’s investment in ‘Empowered’ forms part of our planned strategy to support the recovery of the international education sector. These initiatives will empower and support Victoria’s international students as a globally connected talent pool.

This session will provide students and education providers with an in-depth understanding of the Empowered programs. You will meet the presenters of Future Founders, Career Catalyst, and Leadership Labs and be inspired to connect with programs that offer;

LinkedIn and job interview coaching;

Employability webinars with industry leaders and employers

Understanding trends in the job market and the future of work and innovation

Guidance for budding entrepreneurs forming a business idea

Access to a pre-accelerator to support for start-up ideas

Connections with mentors and a like-minded student community

‘Empowered’ supports students to connect with peers, mentors and industry experts; to enter the workforce for the first time, ask for help, or take that next step in launching your career.

We look forward to your participation in this event.
