Event description

Empower Rugby is a program giving girls aged 10-18 the opportunity to be involved in Rugby for the first time.

Empower is a skills based program that runs for 5 weeks each Saturday morning, 9:00am to 11:00am, starting 1st April and running each Saturday until 29 April.

Empower will then lead into Week 1 of the inaugural girls 10s rugby competition, the first in Australia, being organised by the ACTJRU from May 6!

During skill development and modified games, girls will be supported by some of the regions best coaches and mentors, including local Rugby legend and Wallaroo, Louise Burrows. We will also be welcoming Charlotte Caslick and other high profile players from all forms of Australian rugby.

Catering for all skill levels - Empower will provide exposure to both 15 a side,10s and Sevens Rugby (contact and low contact).

Registration includes a rugby ball, Empower playing shirt, and much more.

Empower Rugby is very proud to be working closely with the Australian Army and the University of Canberra to ensure the program is another resounding success.

Coaching representatives from Canberra rugby clubs will be in attendance to ensure a smooth transition for your daughter into an appropriate club, and we are planning a huge fundraising event and awards ceremony to raise funds to help pay the girls regsitration fees and prepare them for an overseas experience of a lifetime!

forty2 is pleased to have the support of the Brumbies and the ACT Junior Rugby Union for the Empower Rugby program.
