Event description
An essential Workshop for P-12 Teacher/Leader/Wellbeing Coordinator interested in improving school culture driven by empathy and gratitude

About this event

With everything that must be considered in the daily operation of a school, at times there are crucial aspects that slip off the radar. What we have found from the work that we do, is that one of those aspects, is the intentional design of School Culture. A culture built on a foundation of Empathy and Gratitude, as well as how to set it up across your whole school.

For too long schools have been contemplating whether or not to implement a whole school approach to wellbeing / positive education to build a sustainable robust culture.

Ash's and Matt's passion and expertise is in helping schools take action to embed a positive education curriculum and program that builds a sustainable culture.

The great news is, there is a process to do this crucial work and therefore ensure that it is not left to chance. The better news is, Growing with Gratitude and Driven from Within have teamed up to teach this process, so that you can implement it at your site.

What you'll take away and learn:

  • The importance of the intentional design of “Culture”
  • Organisational growth is driven by personal growth.
  • A process to follow to build high performance teams.
  • The 4 step formula that teaches you how to execute your whole school wellbeing program
  • Practical activities to use with staff and students
  • An action plan that you can implement straight away

Recently this was said about Growing With Gratitude - “The Growing With Gratitude Program empowers primary-school aged children with valuable tools and skills to help them lead healthy, successful and productive lives. This contributes to the Education Department’s Wellbeing for Learning and Life Framework, which supports students to be more resilient and engage in positive experiences, form stronger friendships, be more optimistic and show increased self-esteem.”

John Gardner Minister for Education, South Australia

As an Educational leader I constantly reflected on the leaders in my career, but failed to identify the distinguishing features and actions of high performing leaders and their responsibility in driving high performance organisational culture. Matt’s Professional Learning programs have been instrumental in helping me to develop the skills needed to identify my behaviours and knowledge as a leader of a high performing team. The Driven From Within Professional Learning programs are built on evidence and are delivered in a manageable, interactive and thought provoking way, in which participants are driven to reflect on their influence on people and culture.

Matt, in every engagement is open and honest and models the principles in which he believes and is presenting to the group. He actively engages in the tools he presents and provides real examples and self reflections of these in relation to self.

As a direct result of actively engaging in Professional Learning offered by Matt and Driven from Within, I have actively been developing myself as a leader and have been successful in attaining a leadership position. I continue to engage with Matt and his programs in pursuit of personal growth and effective influence within my field.

Thank you Matt and I highly recommend Matt Krieg from – Driven from Within if you are looking at developing your teams, and a thriving organisational culture.

About Ash and Matt:

Ash Manuel - In 2010, while teaching as a primary school physical education teacher in Adelaide, Ash discovered his most significant learning. Resilience, grit and happiness can be practised - in the same way, skills in a sport can be practised. As a result Growing With Gratitude (GWG) was born. Growing With Gratitude focuses on teaching children skills based on gratitude, kindness, empathy, positive reflection & serving others, the critical building blocks to resilience, grit & happiness.

His passion and expertise is in helping schools take action to embed a positive education /wellbeing curriculum and program across their whole school

Since 2014 he has immersed himself in helping schools set up or add to their wellbeing / positive education curriculums.

GWG has impacted 250,000+ students and helped over 650 schools and is the only program officially endorsed by the South Australian Mental Health Commission.

Today, Ash is widely regarded as a leader in primary school positive education. Growing With Gratitude offers consultancy to help schools set up their whole school approach, as well as whole school presentations, in-class sessions, student and staff workshops and online programs. Growing With Gratitude reaches 100's of thousands of students across the globe and is currently accessed in 45 countries.

Matt Krieg – In mid-2015 Matt was presented with the opportunity to join a Senior Executive Team, as a Director, in one of the fastest growing schools in South Australia. A significant part of that role was to help oversee large scale change to improve outcomes for both staff and students. It was whilst performing this role, that Matt became fascinated with how much he “didn’t know”, about effectively leading teams of people through change and what were the key aspects that would drive the success of this.

Matt became obsessive about human behaviour and what drives one person or organisation to succeed and another to remain mediocre. He has been on a personal development journey ever since, which led to the establishment of Driven from Within.

With his experience in the multiple leadership roles Matt has held within education and the completion of a thesis in leadership and Organisational Culture, Matt is well placed to be facilitating programs about improving the effectiveness of teams and people.

Bonus

You’ll also receive teacher packs worth over $300 for all attendees. All participants will take away all presentations and material used in the one day conference, plus one year's access to the Growing with Gratitude online membership site and each program participant will receive tools and documentation to assist in their development of a "Team and Organisational" Cultural Game Plan.
