Emergency Response Planning - Facilities (LYERP002)

Lybertv Consulting's Emergency Response Planning workshop trains facility managers, safety professionals, and emergency responders in designing comprehensive emergency plans for high-risk environments.

The course covers hazard mitigation, plan integration into Safety Management Systems, effective communication, and continuous improvement.

Participants learn to interface with emergency services and authorities, fostering organisational safety and preparedness. It equips professionals to enhance safety culture, minimise risk, and safeguard facilities and communities.

Content and Focus Area

• Interfacing, and being consistent with, the expectations, resources, communication channels, policies and procedures of the emergency services and the local authorities for potentially affected areas and of any adjacent MHF.

• Integration of the emergency plan into the Safety

• Management System (SMS); safety and property protection assessments; and the Safety Case.

• Evaluation of emergency planning options and demonstration of adequacy of the adopted emergency plan as a control measure within the Safety Case.

• Reflection of relevant studies (eg fire safety study and quantitative risk assessment).

• Consistency with related plans (eg the State Emergency Plan).

Objectives and Outcomes

On completion of the course, learners will be able to demonstrate competency in:

• Development of mitigation strategies against issues or high risk
