Description

Come along to this Extraordinary Community Event

As a concerned member of our community, we ask you to bring along your family, friends and your passion to support the legal right for people to seek asylum. Together we can be a movement for positive change!

Why are we coming together?
Because there are 1,100 men, women and children in NSW who urgently need our help. They need critical legal support to prepare for interviews with the Department of Home Affairs. These interviews will decide whether they can remain in Australia or risk being returned to danger.

Updates:

  • The 'Choir of Love' will be performing. With singers from refugee backgrounds, it is an all embracing community choir that is multi-faith and multicultural.

  • Three-time Walkley award winning Guardian journalist Ben Doherty will speak about his work reporting on challenges facing refugees and what motivates him to focus on this issue.

What can we do to help?

We have a goal and we have a vision! We will provide you with fundraising ideas, ways we can all band together as a community to help those who really need our support.

Step 1: Register your attendance

Step 2: Invite everyone you know who are interested in making a positive change!

By coming together as a community we can make a difference to the lives of 1,100 people.
We are the last hope for people seeking asylum. If we can’t help them, who can?
