Emergency Medicine Foundation 10-Year Research Symposium
Thu., 24/08/2017, 8:30 am – Fri., 25/08/2017, 5:00 pm AEST
The Emergency Medicine Foundation is celebrating its 10th anniversary with one-day Symposium on Friday, 25th August, preceded by an Acute Care Research and Translation Workshop on Thursday 24th August 2017. This Symposium is designed to be a strategic platform for healthcare professionals, researchers and academics to actively shape the future of emergency medicine research in Australia. On Day 1, research teams and early career researchers are encouraged to attend an Acute Care Research & Translation Workshop. The full day workshop will provide participants with key lessons for research design, conducting collaborative and multi-site research, and research translation including the development of new clinical guidelines and clinical roll-outs. This workshop is being run by EMF in collaboration with PREDICT.
EMF will then host a 10-year awards cocktail event from 5:30-7:30pm following the workshop. This event will recognise a number of individuals who have had a significant impact on emergency medicine in Queensland.
On Day 2, leaders in emergency medicine research will chair panels to discuss the direction of research in emergency medicine service delivery as well as four core areas of pre-hospital and acute care: paediatrics, geriatrics, cardiology, and critical care. Places are limited, so register today for this important and strategic event in emergency medicine research.
