About this event
Elvira Rumkabu is lecturer in international relations at the University of Cenderawasih. She is an expert on Indigenous identity and associated resource management in West Papua, and on women's rights and the #PapuanLivesMatter movement. She joins us for our third West Papua Talks Seminar to discuss the current state of identity politics in West Papua, her latest research project, and what it is like to teach human rights and peace and conflict studies in a university located within a territory under military occupation.
